Zao Onsen, Tohoku
Fresh from the Rugby World Cup and with the Tokyo Olympics just around the corner, Japan continues to be one of the hottest destinations in the world. Climbing Via Ferrata in Cortina
Famous for La Dolce Vita lifestyle enjoyed by film stars and social elites in the 50’s and 60’s, the mountain town of Cortina in the Italian Dolomites is quietly and confidently making a comeback, recently announcing their co-host status for the 2026 Winter Olympics alongside Milan. Also a popular summer mountain paradise, Cortina is bursting with history, culture and exciting outdoor pursuits. We’ll be hosting a full Powder Byrne programme throughout July and August, the perfect way to experience Cortina.

Skiing in Grindelwald
The first phase of Grindelwald’s CHF 470m modernisation project, the V-bahn, opened on 14th December, vastly improving the speed of access to the Mannlichen peak and replacing a lift that has been running since 1978. The second leg of the V-bahn will open in December 2020, transforming access to the Eigerletscher and restoring Grindelwald’s reputation as one of the finest ski resorts in Switzerland. Turtle hatchling in Costa Rica
A popular destination in our Air & Space programme for a number of years, Costa Rica is becoming even more popular thanks to its credentials as an ecotourism destination. Costa Rica devotes an estimated 26% of its land to national parks, wildlife reserves and protected lands and through our chosen Gold Standard carbon offsetting partner, Baum Invest, we are contributing to projects in Costa Rica that help to reduce CO2 and advocate sustainable development and tourism.

River hack at Polo Valley
Polo Valley, our exclusive ranch in Sotogrande is going from strenth to strength and 2020 is set to be another big year at this unique destination.
