Dreaming of Davos

With Davos in the spotlight at the moment thanks to the World Economic Forum that’s currently underway, we thought we’d take a look at what makes this village such an incredibly special place.

The Skiing

We won’t keep you in suspense any longer about the bit you are most interested in…the skiing! With 320km of slopes, 58 ski lifts and amazing altitudes between 1,124m and 2,844m, Davos is sure to impress the whole family on the skiing front! As if that isn’t exciting enough, Davos is also linked to the famously royal resort of Klosters, giving you even more choice of terrain!

It doesn’t stop there: advanced skiers can actually ski the backcountry from Davos to Arosa with a local Mountain Guide to find the best powder.

Davos is one of the highest Alpine resorts in Europe, meaning it’s very now-sure, even for early or late season skiing and the views are simply phenomenal from all angles!

There are many charming mountain restaurants to stop for a cosy lunch or warm drink by the fire. Stop in to rest and refuel before an afternoon of incredible skiing.

Concierge and Other Winter Activities

When you’re not skiing, or if you have non-skiers in your party, there are many exciting activities off the slopes too, and our Client Concierge team are the perfectly poised to help you with this. From natural and artificial ice skating rinks and sledging runs, to beautifully prepared winter footpaths and snow-shoe trails and some wonderful spas in which to indulge, this is an amazing place to visit even if you’d prefer to keep your feet on terra firma. Our Client Concierge team has intimate knowledge of each of our resorts and can make recommendations and bookings based on your needs and interests.

The Village

The vibrant centre of Davos is host to an extensive range of shops with quaint and quirky boutiques to ensure you can get your fix of retail therapy even when you’re in the mountains.

A Culinary Adventure

Being host to a selection of 140 restaurants, ranging from gourmet food to cosy inns, lack of dining options certainly isn’t a problem here! Foodies will simply be in their element with the quality and variety on offer. Once again you can rely on our concierge team to make reservations for you at all the best restaurants and point you in the right direction to those that will best fit your palate.
