Laax’s New Addition: GALAAXY

Laax’s New Addition: GALAAXY

With the New Year fast approaching, Laax is planning an out of this world renovation on the 'Crap Sogn Gion' mountain station. GALAAXY will be the quirky home to two new eateries, a small cinema and meeting rooms.

Set to open on the 13th January 2018, GALAAXY will breathe new life into the Crap Sogn Gion mountain area. Following years of observations that the existing ski station already looked somewhat like a spaceship, the Weisse Arena Group are transforming the space into an outer space fantasy destination.

New décor will welcome guests to the ‘Landing Deck’ as they travel back through time with a nostalgic 80s feel and walls filled with VHS tapes and over 14,000 records. You then enter ‘The Main Station’ that provides amazing viewing platforms across the breathtaking landscape and features a casual eatery and gift shop.

One of the most exciting developments of GALAAXY is ‘The Heart’: their stunning 360-degree restaurant, immaculately decorated with unique and intricate décor. You’ll find a great range of dishes on offer here ranging from classic local Swiss delicacies such as Gehacktes mit Hörnli (minced beef with macaroni) to vegan cuisine. There’s even a health bar, better known as the ‘Beach House’ serving natural juices and other revitaliSing beverages. ‘Radio GALAAXY’, a retro wooden DJ booth in the center of ‘The Heart’ will ensure diners are treated to the best tunes while enjoying their meals and the stunning views. ‘The Heart’ will also play host to a series of cultural events throughout the ski season, seating up to 320 people.

It’s the perfect place to combine business with pleasure. you can seamlessly enjoy skiing in the morning followed by business meetings after lunch and there will be accommodation on site to really make the most of your time away.

A small cinema room and fitness facilities will also be available in the new and improved GALAAXY space for those in need of a short break from the slopes.
