Ready for the next step? Skiing with SnoZone

For children who have grown up skiing with Powder Byrne, progressing through our Yeti Primer and Yeti programmes, moving up to SnoZone is a highly anticipated milestone.
SnoZone is tailored for children aged 10-14 who are confident, red-run skiers and ready for more freedom and adventure on the mountain. For young skiers, SnoZone is the next big adventure – offering more freedom, exciting challenges, and the thrill of exploring the slopes with friends. While parents love how the programme balances expert coaching with independent skiing.
My children have loved the Yeti programme with Powder Byrne but are ready to take the next step.
Advanced Skiing Experience
Each SnoZone group is led by a professional ski instructor, supported by a Powder Byrne SnoZone Manager. The manager ensures the programme runs smoothly and that all children maximise their skiing experience. While the groups continue to receive daily ski lessons, they also enjoy increased autonomy to explore the mountain.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like?
Every morning, groups of up to 8 children meet in the boot room, where they are greeted by a Powder Byrne team member. They are then shuttled to meet their ski instructor. The day is spent cruising the mountain, with breaks for a mountain lunch suitable for their age group. Popular lunch spots include Penne Vorab on the glacier in Flims and Spare Ribs at Hornli Hutte in Arosa.
The children’s programmes were the standout aspect of the trip, giving my husband and me plenty of free time to enjoy skiing. My daughter came back from the holiday with so much more ski confidence. The SnoZone staff really went the extra mile to make the most of their time on the mountains.
Après-Ski and Evening Fun
After an action-packed day on the slopes, SnoZone skiers return to the hotel at 4pm and often gather to unwind in the hotel pool or games room, strengthening friendships that last beyond the holiday. Twice a week, evening activities bring even more excitement—whether it’s ice skating, curling, a ninja warrior course, or a lively pizza night, there’s always something fun planned. Parents can also enjoy a well-earned evening to themselves, knowing their children are in expert hands.

SnoZone offers a perfect blend of professional instruction and exhilarating freedom, ensuring that children continue to develop their skills while enjoying every moment on the slopes. It’s the ideal next step for young skiers ready to move beyond the Yeti programme and embrace new challenges and adventures.
