Fortaleza do Guincho Hotel and Restaurant is a 15 minute drive from Penha Longa by Powder Byrne shuttle and offers diners delectable food that has earned it a Michelin star. This small and elegant restaurant serves delicious Atlantic fish and seafood dishes, as well as several set menus, all with wine pairing options. The view over Guincho beach is breathtaking and the hotel is uniquely shaped like a sand castle, which is always a hit with the kids!

Another wonderful oceanfront restaurant is Furnas do Guincho, which overlooks the coast of Guincho and Cascais. With a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere and incredible seafood dishes, this restaurant is a must while on holiday in the area. It is 20 minutes from the resort by Powder Byrne shuttle.

Attention meat lovers: Os Prazeres Da Carne (which translate to “The Pleasure of Meat”) was created with you in mind. The deck is the perfect spot to relax, enjoy the delicious steaks and other speciality meat dishes and take in the view of the Cascais coast on a warm evening. A Powder Byrne shuttle will get you there in 20 minutes.

Another restaurant not to be missed is the sophisticated Café Paris, located in the heart of Sintra. It’s an ideal place to settle for lunch during a day exploring the historic town (a must while in the area). This classy restaurant has been serving traditional Portuguese cuisine, along with other international dishes, since 1925.
